Defragging the Hard drive

Defragging the hard drive of your computer is critical to maintain the performance of the system, but more often it is overlooked as a PC maintenance resort. By defragging your hard drive you organize your files enabling it to retrieve the data fast as it will have to work less if the files are organized. While defragging, the system tests the hard disk and shows you’re a graphical representation of the drive. Blue bands largely represent a healthy state while the red bands show fragmented files on contiguous files. If necessary, Windows will ask you to defrag. You should accept it when you are ready as you cannot use the PC when the utility is running. Depending on the size of the hard drive, the process may take a few hours. Sometimes a few errors may also crop up while defragging the hard drive.

Online Tech support professionals help you to defrag your drive effectively and breath new life to your system. The frequency of defragging should depend upon your usage of the system. If you constantly introduce large files and application to your system and remove them you need to defrag more often. On the other hand common usage may require an interval of about 2 month between defragging.
